Learn how to draw and hand paint designs on glass & fabric using liners, gold/silver leaf, and more! Over the 5 classes you can use the techniques listed below to make your design on a mug, dish, clothes, table cloths or cushions.
Learn simple glass and fabric painting techniques like the darkness/lightness technique, stain technique, watercolour technique, one-stroke technique, etc.
Naghmeh Ahmadi has been learning and doing painting with different mediums for more than 20 years. She had 2 individual Watercolour exhibitions, an art show in Richmond Hill, and participated over 3 times in a group show at the Mill Pond Gallery in Richmond Hill. Naghmeh was selected for the Richmond Hill Art studio tour in 2019 and 2020 and has been teaching painting to kids and adults for over 3 years.

If you have ever wanted to learn the art of calligraphy, but didn’t know where to start, then the Faux Calligraphy course is a great place to begin. You don’t have to have good handwriting to take this course.
You’ll start off with creative exercises and project ideas to begin your calligraphy practice. Each week you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and creativity to specific holiday themed projects such as word art, greeting cares and mail art to name a few. You will also learn how to make banners, and holiday floral doodles to embellish your calligraphy.
Liana Marinelli is the owner of Creativeli Designs. She is a former academic educator, who transitioned to teaching her love of lettering and everything art to others.

Learn all about how to share your art, music, photography, writing and so much more on social media. Plus learn how to troubleshoot and solve basic technical problems.
Instead of getting frustrated with technology, this class will teach you all about how to make friends with your devices and the endless possibilities they carry!
Steffi Goodfield has run Open Mics, Festivals, and other musical events, supporting and promoting local musicians since 2012. She is the owner & operator of York Region Open Mic and has 2 active open mic nights at this time (more to come)!

Plus, learn a bunch of new ways to communicate your ideas on paper, write creatively and bring stories to life again!
Kat Weaver is a certified adult educator and staff trainer. By day she works in an office but in her spare time, she loves to write. Kat is a published poet and along with her passion for writing poetry she loves to write short stories & creative works.

BEGINNER FRIENDLY!!
At each session, students will learn how to observe live and still objects and capture their likeness in a unique and creative way on a canvas, using acrylic paint and an array of brushes & palette knives.
Students will learn all about the acrylic paint medium and painting techniques. Students will also learn the folk art style and how to convey their observations in a captivating and story-like way. Emphasis will be placed on exploring creative ways to express our self style in our art.
Mack Weaver is a young artist who is passionate about creating pieces of art that bring joy and wonder to the world and others. Her passion for creation has influenced her love for learning a multitude of artistic mediums which have been instrumental in running her two small businesses: MJVW Studio Art Creations & Spenni Weaver Handmade Pet Wares.
Mack loves everything from painting, to digital illustration, to font creation, to sculpting and carving, and all the way to fabric arts! She is excited to be passing along some of her learning to the students who will be participating in her classes.

Learn all about Hanfu (Han Chinese Clothing) tailoring and sewing techniques. In this hands-on class you will learn all about the various forms and designs (tops, bottoms, robes).
Juni Yeung is a co-founder and the chairman of the Hanfu Movement of Eastern Canada, a nonprofit organization seeking to de-colonize the legacies of Chinese culture and establish new connections with Canada and the heritages of Turtle Island. Yeung started making and wearing hanfu for herself since 2005, and created various hanfu designs for Canadian life and office, that were curated and presented in the Anime North Fashion Show from 2015-2019.

Students will use resin and other materials to make beads or pendants that can be turned into stunning jewelry pieces. Students will also make bracelets or necklaces using metal chains or elastics, and will learn how to use all the materials to make a truly unique and statement piece of jewelry!
